“He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!'" Revelation 21:5
Despite all of the difficulties that our family has faced, God’s grace IS STILL sufficient! We have prayed for happiness and peace for Lauren throughout her life, and in her death, He has fully and generously answered those prayers. We now have a deeper longing for heaven, but we realize that the Father is not finished with us here.
Lauren’s display of unconditional love was a gift that God continues to use in her absence to bless others. Even though she did not have the ability to speak, the Holy Spirit spoke through her and continues to use her faithfulness to inspire our family and others. Perfect strangers were drawn to her because of the love of God they felt abiding with her. It is obvious to those of us who know her and have felt that love, that God used her life in a mighty way. In the end, we did not receive the miracle we would have picked for her, to be healed in this world. I think God would say that the miracle He had picked out for her of being restored and being with Him is much better. Although it is still painful at times, I must agree. It is now our responsibility to live close to God and be led by that same Holy Spirit so that we can demonstrate that love to others and draw them closer to Jesus.
Isn’t Lauren’s situation what we would/should all want for ourselves and our children? To be used by God to accomplish His purpose and when that is completed, go home to be with Him. It is still our desire that you would examine your own life and relationship with Jesus Christ and seek salvation through Him. After all, Lauren’s Hope, is just another name for Jesus. On June 7, 2008, her Hope became sight when her Lord came to take her home. For her on that day, one of our family’s favorite verses became truth in her life. Revelation 21:5 says, “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ ”
Our family still has a passion for helping others affected by this terrible disease. It is only through God’s will and His power that this will be accomplished. We hope that you will consider becoming a part of this journey with our family. God has blessed the efforts of LHF through loving support of individuals and companies like you. So far, we have distributed $240,300 into Sanfilippo research, and that work continues. Your help through prayers and financial support can continue to move this process toward its successful end.
In the humble service of our King,
Andy, Cindy, and Cayden McCraw
