Research Updates

2013 Research Update

LHF is pleased to report another successful year of partnership with Orbis Health Solutions. Our multi-year commitment will continue in 2013. The wonderful news is that the research in 2012 did not require the total amount of $75,000 invested by LHF when it was combined with a $35,000 investment from Orbis. Those projects are still ongoing.

Another exciting possibility is the potential partnership between LHF, Orbis, and a much larger biomedical research company from the west coast. This could potentially lead to significant investment capital from other sources. We welcome this discussion and the potential collaboration that could result from it. More entities investing money means more money toward Sanfilippo Syndrome research. Our goal is to have technology available in the very near future that could meet FDA approval for treatment of these severely ill children. We look forward to many years of collaboration toward a cure for this disease. Through the blessing of God and the support of faithful sponsors like you, LHF is remaining on the cutting edge of genetic research. Our Board of Directors readily admits that this is evidence of the hand of God in this foundation.

LHF anticipates the need for another investment on our part of $100,000 near the end of 2013 or early 2014.
